Red Sox place Drew Pomeranz (forearm) on 10-day disabled list
The Boston Red Sox placed pitcher Drew Pomeranz on the 10-day disabled list with a left forearm flexor strain.
Pomeranz has been dealing with an issue from earlier this month but he's not expected to be out long. Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) is joining Pomeranz on the 10-day and Steven Wright (knee) is suspended, so the Red Sox are expected to go with Brian Johnson and Hector Velazquez to fill the void in the rotation.
numberFire's models project Pomeranz to record a 3.81 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 21.6 strikeout percentage while going 11-7 across 153 2/3 innings this season.
