New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto (shoulder) will play designated hitter in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Conforto crushed it during a couple of games in the minors, so the Mets will let him get in on some Grapefruit League action as the 25-year-old outfielder continues to recover from last summer's shoulder surgery. He should be back within the first couple of weeks in April.
numberFire projects Conforto to hit .252 with 21 home runs, 60 RBIs, and 58 runs scored in 437 plate appearances this season.
