Braves' Johan Camargo (oblique) will open season on disabled list
Atlanta Braves infielder Johan Camargo (oblique) will open the season on the disabled list.
Camargo hasn't faced a pitched since March 13 while dealing with a strained side and back, which Braves manager Brian Snitker described as the sort of injury "you just don’t want to mess with it.†If the club retroactively places him on the 10-day DL, then the 24-year-old infielder could potentially be ready as soon as April 6 against the Colorado Rockies. Rio Ruiz will probably see the majority of starts at third base while Camargo is on the shelf.
numberFire's models project Camargo to bat .266 with 8 home runs, 47 RBI, 45 runs scored, and 1 steal in 455 plate appearances this season.
