Report: Alex Cobb nearing deal with Orioles
The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports the Baltimore Orioles and free agent pitcher Alex Cobb are nearing agreement on a deal.
Multiple reports have confirmed this belief. The deal's expected to be for three years in the range of $50 million, but that could be high, says Rosenthal. After all is said and done, that would be a nice deal for the 30-year-old right-hander.
In 29 starts, Cobb went 12-10 with a 3.66 ERA and 128 strikeouts a year ago with the Tampa Bay Rays.
