White Sox' Jose Abreu (hamstring) diagnosed with muscle strain
Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu has been diagnosed with a hamstring strain, reports Bruce Levine of 670 The Score.
Abreu left Tuesday's spring training game against the Texas Rangers and is considered day-to-day. There should be an update on the severity of the injury on Wednesday, but this shouldn't be something to keep him out on Opening Day.
Abreu is projected for 30 home runs, 88 RBI and a .301 average for the 2018 season.
