Marlins' Dan Straily (forearm) will be shut down for 5-6 days
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Dan Straily (right forearm) will not throw for 5-6 days.
Straily experienced minor tightness in his forearm after pitching in a minor league game on Monday, so the Marlins want to play it safe with the 29-year-old right-hander. He might be able to avoid the disabled list to open the year, but there's a chance that Straily's first start gets pushed back. He's currently scheduled to throw against the Chicago Cubs on March 30 after Jose Urena toes the rubber on Opening Day.
numberFire's models project Straily to record a 4.26 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 23.0 strikeout percentage while going 10-9 across 678 innings.
