Twins' Jorge Polanco banned 80 games for PEDs
Minnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco received an 80-game suspension, without pay, for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
The substance Polanco tested positive for is Stanozolol. With the 24-year-old out for the first half of the year, the Twins may opt to promote top prospect Nick Gordon.
Polanco slashed .256/.313/.410 with 13 home runs, 74 RBI, 60 runs scored, and 13 steals in 544 plate appearances (133 games) last season.
