Chris Colabello to bat fifth for Blue Jays again in Game 4
Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Chris Colabello will bat fifth again Monday in Game 4 of the American League Division Series against the Texas Rangers.
Troy Tulowitzki had been holding down the fifth spot in the order prior to Sunday when the switch occurred. Tulowitzki will bat sixth in Game 4 against Rangers' lefty Derek Holland.
Tulowitzki did respond by belting a home run in Sunday's game, but both players are deserving of batting fifth with high levels of success against left-handed pitching. Colabello has a 35.4 hard-hit rate against lefties this year while Tulowitzki is at 46.1 percent. Holland had a 4.45 xFIP overall this year after returning from injury, and that increased to 4.90 against right-handed batters. That could be exactly what Tulowitzki needs to continue to snap out of his slump.
