New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto (shoulder) "fully expects" to play in a Grapefruit League game next week.
Conforto is ahead of schedule after undergoing a procedure last September to repair a torn muscle in his left shoulder. It sounds like the 25-year-old outfielder may be able to beat his May 1 target date for a return.
