Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Luiz Gohara (ankle) likely won't join the rotation until May, writes David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Gohara will be re-evaluated within the next two weeks for his left ankle sprain but it sounds like the 21-year-old southpaw is going to miss the first month of the season. Scott Kazmir and Max Fried figure to compete for Gohara's spot in Atlanta' rotation.
Gohara went 1-3 in five starts last season while recording a 4.91 ERA and 1.36 WHIP across 29 1/3 innings.
