Delino DeShields will start in center field, bat leadoff for Rangers this season
Texas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields will start in center field and be the club's leadoff hitter this season, manager Jeff Banister announced on Sunday.
No surprises here. DeShields has stolen at least 25 bases in two of his three seasons in the majors, including a career-high 29 swipes last season.
numberFire's models project DeShield to bat .241 with 8 home runs, 33 RBI, 68 runs scored, and 30 steals in 530 plate appearances this season.
