Carlos Gonzalez reportedly closing in on deal with Rockies
The Colorado Rockies are finalizing a contract with outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.
What It Means:
The deal is expected to be for one year and USA Today's Bob Nightengale says it will be worth $8 million. Gonzalez is 32 and has spent the past nine seasons with the Rockies.
Gonzalez slashed .262/.339/.423 with 14 home runs, 57 RBI, 72 runs scored, and 3 steals in 534 plate appearances (136 games).
