Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon said that infielder Javier Baez's left hamstring is "still bothering him a bit."
Baez claimed he was just dealing with a cramp after leaving Thursday's game with hamstring tightness, but this indicates there's more to it than that. Baez isn't expected to play on Saturday, and this will be a situation to monitor moving forward.
numberFire projects Baez to hit .257 with 59 runs, 19 home runs, 60 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases in 497 plate appearances this season.
