Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke admits velocity is down
Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zack Greinke admitted that his velocity has been down in spring training.
Following an intrasquad start on Thursday, Greinke acknowledged that he's carrying "a nagging fear that he doesn't have it anymore," before adding that this is an annual concern for the 34-year-old right-hander. It's worth keeping an eye on but shouldn't impact his fantasy value.
numberFire's models project Greinke to record a 3.30 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 22.5 strikeout percentage while going 14-9 across 199 1/3 innings this season.
