Mets' Michael Conforto (shoulder) takes batting practice
New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto took regular batting practice Tuesday for the first time since his shoulder surgery last September.
What It Means:
Conforto continues to progress in the right direction, but for now, the 25-year-old slugger still isn't expected to return until May 1.
Conforto slashed .279/.384/.555 with 27 home runs, 68 RBI, 72 runs scored, and 2 steals in 440 plate appearances (109 games) last season.
