Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (shoulder) isn't expected to resume throwing for another few days.
The Blue Jays have a target date for Stroman to return but won't reveal it publicly. While it seems unlikely that the 26-year-old right-hander will be ready for Opening Day, manager John Gibbons says doctors are optimistic that this won't be a lingering issue.
Stroman recorded a 3.09 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 19.7 strikeout percentage across 201 innings last season while going 13-9 in 33 starts.
