Ben Zobrist (back) making spring debut for Cubs on Tuesday
Chicago Cubs second baseman/outfielder Ben Zobrist (back) will make his Cactus League debut on Tuesday.
What It Means:
The Cubs opted to take a conservative approach with Zobrist after the 36-year-old veteran showed up to camp with a back issue, but it sounds like he should be fine for Opening Day.
Zobrist slashed .232/.318/.375 with 12 home runs, 50 RBI, 58 runs scored, and 2 steals in 496 plate appearances (128 games) last season.
