Danny Valencia signs a minor league deal with the Orioles
Free agent infielder Danny Valencia has signed a minor league deal with the Baltimore Orioles, per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
Valencia spent 2017 with the Seattle Mariners, primarily playing first base. He joins the Orioles in hopes of making the club as a backup first baseman, outfielder or designated hitter. The 33-year-old also has extensive experience at third base and could be used as a super utility player.
Valencia slashed .256/.314/.411 with 15 homers, and 66 RBI in 500 plate appearances last season.
