Boston's Drew Pomeranz exits Friday's appearance with left forearm tightness
Boston Red Sox pitcher Drew Pomeranz exited Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals with left forearm tightness, but said his level of concern was "pretty low" afterwards.
Pomeranz claims he's "pretty sure this is probably nothing," so hopefully the Red Sox were just being extra cautious given his injury history. He will undergo tests for his forearm on Saturday.
In 2017, Pomeranz posted a 3.32 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over 173 2/3 innings (32 starts) with 174 strikeouts.
