Lucas Duda signs one-year deal with Royals
First baseman Lucas Duda is signing a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Kansas City Royals, per Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.
Like many free agents this offseason, Duda had to wait a while to find a new home, but figures to slide in as Kansas City's primary first baseman in 2018.
In 2017, Duda hit 30 dingers for the second time in his career, but also had a career-low .217 batting average with an ugly 27.5% strikeout rate.
