Seung Hwan Oh finalizes deal with Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays signed reliever Seung Hwan Oh to a 1-year, $1.75 million contract.

What It Means:

The deal also includes a $2.5 million club/vesting option for 2019. Oh was initially going to sign with the Texas Rangers, but things fell apart over concerns about damage to the right-hander's right ulnar collateral ligament. It doesn't sound like a significant issue, and if Oh stays healthy, he'll likely work in a set-up role for Toronto this season.

Oh averaged 4.3 FanDuel points in 62 games for the St. Louis Cardinals last season, with a 4.10 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 20.5 strikeout percentage across 59 1/3 innings while converting 20-of-24 saves.
