Tigers' Jeimer Candelario suffers bruised knee on Monday
Detroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario has been diagnosed with a bruised left knee.
Candelario suffered the injury during a collision with Kevin Gausman in the second inning on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles. Consider him day-to-day but it sounds like the 24-year-old avoided a significant injury.
Candelario slashed .283/.359/.425 with 3 home runs, 18 runs scored, and 16 RBI in 142 plate appearances (38 games) for the Chicago Cubs and Tigers last season.
