Logan Morrison agrees to one-year deal with Twins
The Minnesota Twins and free agent first baseman Logan Morrison have agreed to a one-year deal worth $6.5M that includes an option for a second year at $10M, per Jon Morosi of MLB Network.
Morrison will assume the Twins' everyday designated hitter role while occasional spelling Joe Mauer at first base. The former Tampa Bay Ray will be playing for his fourth MLB team in nine seasons.
Morrison slugged a career-high 38 home runs in 2017 while slashing .246/.353/.516 in 601 plate appearances with Tampa Bay.
