Athletics' Matt Chapman's (hand) X-rays come back clean
Oakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman doesn't have any structural damage in his right hand, X-rays and an MRI revealed.
Chapman has a bruised bone and is dealing with some swelling as a result. He received a shot to combat the issue but the 24-year-old third baseman should be fine for Cactus League play.
Chapman slashed .234/.313/.472 with 14 home runs, 39 runs scored, and 40 RBI in 326 plate appearances (84 games) as a rookie last season.
