Angels' Chris Young dealing with Grade 1 right calf strain
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Chris Young has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his right calf.
Young says he suffered the injury on Tuesday and expects to miss about 10 days, although this sort of injury sometimes requires a longer timetable, so this is worth keeping an eye on with Opening Day quickly approaching. The 34-year-old outfielder signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Angels on February 18.
Young averaged 6.8 FanDuel points across 90 games for the Boston Red Sox last season, with a .235/.322/.387 slash, 7 home runs, 30 runs scored, 25 RBI, and 3 steals in 276 plate appearances.
