Steven Souza sent to Diamondbacks in three-team deal
According to azcentral's Nick Piecoro, the Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired outfielder Steven Souza from the Tampa Bay Rays.
What It Means:
As the Diamondbacks parted with third baseman Brandon Drury -- who heads to the New York Yankees -- they added some outfield depth in Souza. Arizona also gets pitching prospect Taylor Widener in the deal. Drury's departure will open up time for Chris Owings and Ketel Marte while Souza splits time in left.
Souza had a career year with 30 home runs, 78 RBI and 16 stolen bases for the Rays in 2017.
