Cleveland Indians pitcher Danny Salazar has progressed to throwing from a distance of 75 feet, reports Jordan Bastian of MLB.com.
Manager Terry Francona added that Salazar's rehab has been going well so far. The 28-year-old pitch has been recovering from some right rotator cuff inflammation. He could still get a late start to the season given his injury history.
In 19 starts, 23 appearances and 103 innings, Salazar finished 2017 with a 5-6 record, a 3.48 FIP and 12.67 strikeouts per 9 innings.
