Blue Jays' Teoscar Hernandez could start season in minors
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez could start the season in the minor leagues.
This offseason, Toronto added Randal Grichuk and Curtis Granderson to their already crowded outfield. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons hasn't ruled out the possibility of the 25-year-old making the big league club, but it doesn't seem likely. Kevin Pillar is locked in to center and Gibbons will be looking for Grichuk and Granderson to produce with offense.
Over 27 games and 95 plate appearances, Hernandez hit .261 with 8 home runs, 20 RBI and 16 runs scored in 2017.
