Jeremy Guthrie not on Royals' roster for Houston series
Kansas City Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie is not on the Royals' ALDS roster.
This is not surprising, although Guthrie did make two starts in last year's World Series. The Royals and Houston Astros kick off their ALDS series Thursday night with Game 1 in Kansas City.
The veteran right-hander registered a rough 5.62 FIP and 1.55 WHIP across 148 1/3 innings during the 2015 regular season. Kris Medlen and Chris Young both made the ALDS roster over him.
