The San Francisco Giants expect reigning National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton to make a decision by the end of the week.
According to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area, the Giants expect a decision from the Marlins outfielder "by the end of the week." The Dodgers were also believed to be in the running for Stanton's services, but are now considered a longshot to land him.
Over 597 plate appearances this season, Stanton had 168 hits with 59 home runs and 132 RBI, which were all career-highs.
