What It Means:
Stanton became the first NL MVP in Marlins history, edging out Joey Votto by just 2 points. He led all NL players in WAR, while leading the league with 59 home runs.
Over 597 plate appearances this season, Stanton had 168 hits with 59 home runs and 132 RBI, which were all career-highs.
