Brandon Barnes to miss Thursday's game for Rockies
Colorado Rockies outfielder Brandon Barnes will miss the team's game Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post.
Barnes started Wednesday's game, but he left after sustaining a hamstring injury. The team was also without Charlie Blackmon for that game after he was scratched with a neck injury, though his status for Thursday is not yet known.
Barnes has had a difficult season thus far with his slash sitting at .251/.314/.341 through 281 plate appearances. He has, however, been able to cut his strikeout rate to 23.8 percent from last season's mark of 31.9 percent.
