Donovan Solano batting second for Marlins Tuesday

Miami Marlins infielder Donovan Solano will bat second and play third base Tuesday as the Marlins face the Philadelphia Phillies.

What It Means:

Solano has mostly been hitting eighth when he has been in the order since being recalled from Triple-A in early September. Martin Prado is out of the order as he is still dealing with a left wrist injury.

It's over a limited sample size, but Solano has given the team no reason to believe he should hit near the top of the order. He holds a .176/.208/.243 slash with 3 doubles and 1 triple in 77 plate appearances. Even in Triple-A, Solano hit .271/.288/.293 in 147 plate appearances. Even against Phillies' starter Aaron Harang, Solano should not be on your daily fantasy radar.
