Jeff Mathis starting at catcher for Arizona in NL Wild Card game
Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Jeff Mathis is starting behind the plate for the NL Wild Card game against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.
Chris Iannetta got the start for Arizona in the season finale, but it will be the more defensive backstop, Mathis who will begin the game at catcher. Iannetta will likely serve as a pinch hitter at some point in the game, but Mathis will start the game hitting eighth against right-hander Jon Gray.
Our models project Mathis for 5.9 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,000.
