New York Yankees second/third baseman Ronald Torreyes is out of the lineup for Tuesday's AL Wild Card matchup with the Minnesota Twins.
With 43 starts at second base this season, Torreyes will watch as Starlin Castro slots in at second for the very first game of the Yankees' postseason appearance. Castro hits fifth against the Twins' Ervin Santana.
In 108 games, Torreyes turned 336 plate appearances into 3 home runs, 36 RBI and a .292 average. His right-handed bat will be available off the bench Tuesday night.
