Minnesota Twins third baseman/designated hitter Miguel Sano will likely be on the bench for Tuesday's Wild Card Game against the New York Yankees, manager Paul Molitor said.
Sano won't be in the starting lineup, but he will be available off the Twins' bench. In Sano's first series back after missing almost six weeks with a stress reaction in his shin, the 24-year-old went 1-for-8 with 3 strikeouts.
Over 111 games this season, Sano slashed .267/.356/.514 with an .870 OPS while recording 28 home runs, 77 RBI, and 75 runs scored across 475 plate appearances with 11.9 FanDuel points per game.
