Twins' Miguel Sano still experiencing discomfort in shin
Minnesota Twins manager Paul Molitor said that first/third baseman Miguel Sano is still dealing with discomfort in his injured left shin.
On Friday, Sano was activated from the DL after missing 38 games with a stress reaction in his left shin. He has managed eight at-bats since returning, but has just one hit to three strikeouts so far. He was pulled late in Sunday's game with Molitor citing Sano's discomfort as the reason for the move.
Sano posted a .366 wOBA and .249 ISO prior to suffering the injury. However, he might be relegated to a pinch-hitting role as Eduardo Escobar likely plays third in the AL Wild Card Game on Tuesday.
