Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman/outfielder Jordan Luplow will start in place of Andrew McCutchen (foot) on Saturday night.
As the Pirates get set to play the Washington Nationals, they will do so without McCutchen, who was a late scratch with foot discomfort. In his place, Starling Marte will move to center field as Luplow plays left and hits cleanup for the Pirates.
Luplow, a rookie, has managed 3 home runs and a .278 wOBA to date. He costs $2,400 and will take his place in the middle of a Pirates order implied for just 2.75 runs against Max Scherzer.
