Chicago Cubs catcher Taylor Davis is not starting on Friday against the Cincinnati Reds.
In his first major league start on Thursday, Davis hit a go-ahead RBI double in the 11th inning to give the Cubs a 2-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. He went 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts in his other trips to the plate. Ian Happ will man the hot corner in this afternoon's series opener with the Reds while Ben Zobrist gets the start in right field.
Davis is 2-for-8 (.250) overall in the majors this season.
