Martin Maldonado not starting for Angels on Thursday
Los Angeles Angels catcher Martin Maldonado is not starting on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox.
Carlos Perez will make a rare start behind the dish as Maldonado is given the night off following the Angels' elimination from the playoff race on Wednesday. The 31-year-old backstop has hit successfully in four straight games.
