Jon Jay absent as Cubs take on Cardinals
Chicago Cubs outfielder Jon Jay is not starting on Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cubs clinched the National League Central on Wednesday, so Jay and the rest of the regulars will be given tonight's series finale off against right-hander Lance Lynn and the Cardinals. Leonys Martin will start in center field and lead off the order for the defending champs.
Jay is averaging 6.7 FanDuel points per game this season (137 contests) with a .295/.376/.375 slash and .751 OPS across 426 plate appearances.
