Giants' Brandon Crawford out for seventh straight game
San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (calf, oblique) remains out of the Giants' lineup Wednesday.
Crawford exited last Tuesday's game with tightness in his left calf and his left side, and it's keeping him out of the lineup again tonight. The injuries have forced him to miss 15 games since August 26. Ehire Adrianza has assumed shortstop duties. If not for September's expanded rosters, Crawford would likely be on the disabled list.
Always a defensive stud, Crawford is in the midst of a career year with the bat, hitting .255 with a .331 wOBA -- which ranks second among qualifying shortstops -- and a career-best 19 homers.
