Washington Nationals outfielder/second baseman Howie Kendrick is not starting on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Daniel Murphy (hamstring) is back in the lineup on Wednesday, so Kendrick will head to the Nationals' bench versus Phillies right-hander Mark Leiter. He went 1-for-3 with a solo homer on Tuesday.
Kendrick is averaging 9.7 FanDuel points per game this season (88 games) while slashing .316/.370/.475 with 9 home runs, 41 RBI, 40 runs scored, and 12 steals across 314 plate appearances.
