Rangers' Carlos Gomez (ankle) likely finished for year
Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Gomez (ankle) is likely done for the year.
Gomez has been battling an ankle injury for the majority of September and with no hope for the playoffs, the Rangers believe its best to shut down the 31-year-old outfielder. He is scheduled to become a free agent after the World Series.
Gomez averaged 10.3 FanDuel points per game this season (105 games) while slashing .255/.340/.462 with 17 home runs, 51 RBI, 51 runs scored, and 13 steals across 426 plate appearances.
