Paul Goldschmidt out of the Diamondbacks' lineup against San Francisco
Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is not starting on Monday against the San Francisco Giants.
What It Means:
Christian Walker will start at first base versus right-hander Johnny Cueto and the Giants tonight while Goldschmidt is given a night off after the Diamondbacks clinched the top National League Wild Card spot on Sunday.
Goldschmidt is slashing .306/.412/.579 with a .991 OPS this season while recording 36 home runs, 120 RBI, 115 runs scored, and 18 steals over 647 plate appearances in 2017.
