Tomas Nido is catching for the Mets on Monday afternoon
New York Mets catcher Tomas Nido is making his first major league start in the first game of Monday's doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves.
Nido is batting eighth against Braves right-hander Lucas Sims. Prior to his call-up earlier in September, Nido hit .232/.287/.354 over 404 Double-A plate appearances. Travis d'Arnaud or Kevin Plawecki will start behind the plate in the night cap.
Our models project Nido for 6.1 FanDuel points at his $2,000 salary.
