Dodgers' Justin Turner (thumb) out again Sunday
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (thumb) remained out of Sunday's lineup against the San Francisco Giants.
This makes a third consecutive absence for Turner as he deals with a bruised right thumb and a mild illness. It's not a major concern, but the Dodgers can afford to play it conservatively with the playoffs just over a week away. Logan Forsythe will start at third base on Sunday while Chase Utley takes care of things on second.
Over 125 games this season, Turner has posted a .321/.414/.534 slash and .948 OPS with 21 home runs, 70 RBI, 70 runs scored, and 7 steals in 525 plate appearances.
