Jordy Mercer (knee) out on Sunday for Pirates
Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer (knee) is not starting on Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Mercer is day-to-day after exiting Saturday's contest with left knee tendinitis, an issue that has been bothering him for a while. Max Moroff will handle things at shortstop for the Pirates on Sunday.
numberFire's models project Mercer to turn in a .259 batting average across 30 remaining plate appearances this season.
