Yadier Molina not in Cardinals' lineup versus Pirates
St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is not starting on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
It's likely just a breather for the veteran backstop, who is slashing .275/.314/.442 with 18 home runs, 82 RBI, 60 runs scored, and 9 steals across 534 plate appearances (133 games) this season. Carson Kelly will catch right-hander John Grant on Sunday afternoon.
numberFire's models project Molina to turn in a .286 batting average across 30 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
