Detroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario (knee) is not starting on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins.
Candelario exited Saturday's game with a right knee contusion. It's unlikely to cause an extended absence, but the 23-year-old may be held out of the Tigers' lineup for a couple games. Nick Castellanos will man the hot corner for Detroit on Sunday versus right-hander Jose Berrios and the Twins.
Candelario has gone 32-for-109 (.294) in 33 games this season while recording 3 home runs, 12 RBI, and 17 runs scored.
